Classes I teachTNY 120 - Technology & SocietyThis course will introduce students to the impact that technological change has on society. Illustrations and examples will be drawn from the students' specific discipline. Potential topics include the social and economic impact of new technology, responsibilities and ethics, privacy, liability and technology-based crime, emerging trends and futuristics. CSD 315 - Web ProgrammingThis course is designed to guide the student through developing Web applications using the JavaScript programming language. Topics introduced will be HTML with embedded JavaScript syntax; windows; frames; forms; as well as dynamic HTML. More advanced topics will cover cookies; security features; server-side JavaScript; working with databases. CSD 320 - Web DBMSThis course will broaden the students' knowledge of various popular database implementations. The focus will be strictly on the practical nature of database management systems and will include such implementations as Oracle, SQL Server, and Web-Based DBMSs. CS 101 - Introduction to Microcomputer ApplicationsThe study of a selection of contemporary microcomputer applications, including operating system concepts, word processing, database management systems, and spreadsheets.
